What started as a personal mission to create a cleaner, safer candle has grown into a passion for crafting high-quality, beautifully fragranced products.
Frustrated by candles that burned unevenly, lost their scent quickly, or left soot behind, I began researching what really goes into them. I discovered that many are made from paraffin wax—a by-product of crude oil—which can release unwanted pollutants into the air.
Determined to find a better alternative, I developed my own candles using 100% soy wax. This provides a cleaner, longer-lasting burn and is a more environmentally responsible choice. My wax is UK-manufactured, biodegradable, vegan-friendly, and cruelty-free.
Each fragrance is carefully selected to meet high cosmetic standards. They are paraben-free and thoughtfully blended using natural, nature-identical, and safe synthetic ingredients to ensure a consistent and luxurious scent experience.
The brand began in 2014 during the Ebola crisis, when I created a Christmas candle to raise funds for aid. What started as a small charitable effort quickly grew, as customers returned year after year and began requesting candles beyond the festive season.
Today, that same dedication to quality, safety, and beautiful fragrance remains at the heart of everything I create.

I am the owner of Flamme Rouge Candles. I’m married and mother to four grown-up children.
After spending over 20 years as a stay-at-home Mum, I decided it was time to challenge myself and build something of my own. It felt daunting—at times overwhelming—and, if I’m honest, self-doubt was never far away. But I kept going.
Starting a business hasn’t been easy, both personally and financially, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. In many ways, it has even supported my mental wellbeing. I discovered a real love for the creative process—from researching and testing (often feeling like a chemistry teacher!) to building a website from scratch and navigating the ever-changing world of social media.
I’ve also had the pleasure of working alongside some wonderful people, and seeing my products enhance their businesses is something I’m truly proud of.
Not long ago, a friend asked me, “Has it been a success?”
I’ve come to realise that success can be measured in many ways. For me, the answer is yes. The business has grown organically, which takes time, patience, and commitment—but it has been worth every moment.
I am incredibly proud of what I’ve built. While there will always be new challenges ahead, it’s the excitement and sense of purpose that make it all worthwhile.
